There is always an equation for doing things and in the case of weight loss, its
DIET + EXERCISE = WEIGHT LOSS
Unfortunately for me, after losing 13kg, a lot of stressful things occured in my life and I just lost the drive I needed to get up at 4am every morning to workout. That all ended today.
I woke up this morning and decided to continue with my jump rope workout (thats the only thing I can do continuously without getting bored) . It was a blast! After the first 200 jumps, I felt as if my heart was going to burst out of my chest. But I continued till I had completed 1000 jumps in 10 sets of 100 jumps and I must confess, it felt good to be working out again.
You see, some of us just hate to do varying stuff so the jump rope workout is perfect since it works every single muscle in the body. When I first started skipping rope, I noticed that my legs became more shapely and my arms became firmer.
So now wish me luck on my continued journey towards an extremely bodacious bod....
Ta ta........
PS.. Do tell about the interesting workouts you do.... Please......
Interesting! I had exactly the same jump rope work-out regime but I could not keep it up.
ReplyDeleteMy ankles hurt but I think I was not wearing the right shoes. The rope jumping was
replaced with morning power walks with my mom at 4:30am. That actually worked well since she would drag me to go each morning. We did this for about 4months straight and the kilos dropped and the energy went up. She then
traveled for 6months, I got freaked out by someone who used to comment whenever I passed each morning and so I stopped the solo
morning walks. The kilos have seriously piled in again and the motivation has disappeared.
I think I will take up the rope jumping again...thanks for the motivation!
I want to tone my thighs, i best get myself a rope too. You've inspired me dear.
ReplyDelete@ Abena: You're right about the shoes. I had to change shoes twice before getting the right one to take reduce shock of the impact of my foot landing on the ground.
ReplyDeleteI love walking but my area is not the safest place to be found on at 4am. Anyway, I'm glad to be a good source of motivation. :-).
@ lucci: Charley don't waste time kwraa.... :-) You'll begin to see the wonders in 2 weeks..
Way to go!
ReplyDeleteWater works very well for me. A glass immediately I wake up and at least a gallon by 5pm.
